Tilkicik Bay Hotel
The Tilkicik Bay Hotel project, designed on a plot located in Yalıkavak, Bodrum, has a total of 62 rooms and a construction area of 10,000 m².
Classified as a small-scale hotel due to the plot size and zoning conditions, the project has been designed by carefully considering the site’s narrow and elongated shape, topography, vegetation, and the needs of both the investor and potential guests.
The sloping nature of the land has been treated as a key design input. Instead of designing a single massive block, the approach envisioned a composition of fragmented volumes, aiming to reduce the overall building scale to one that is more in line with the local architectural character of Bodrum.

The use of dark-toned local natural stone cladding was intended to visually integrate the structures with the surrounding topography. Although the zoning allowed for taller building heights, this right was deliberately not exercised. Instead, the design focused on a context-sensitive, low-rise layout made up of separate but harmonious structures, adapted to the land’s slope and carefully positioned to avoid obstructing each other’s views—emphasizing respect for the natural environment and human-scale design.
